Scratch — proportional discards, one per three races sailed, 7 races

RRS A2.1 permits the sailing instructions to change the number of races excluded from a boat's series score. This fixture scores an allowance stated as a proportion rather than as a table of step-ups.

Scoring configuration: One discard once 3 races have been sailed, then one more every 3 races. DNF/OCS scoring: A5.2 (series entries).

Totals and the two worst dropped from each:
  Alice 1,1,2,5,1,1,2 = 13, drops 5 and 2 → 6
  Bob 2,3,1,2,4,3,3 = 18, drops 4 and 3 → 11
  Carol 3,2,3,1,2,2,1 = 14, drops 3 and 3 → 8
  David 4,5,4,3,5,4,5 = 30, drops 5 and 5 → 20
  Eve 5,4,5,4,3,5,4 = 30, drops 5 and 5 → 20
David and Eve tie on 20; A8.1 compares their non-discarded scores best to
worst — David 3,4,4,4,5 against Eve 3,4,4,4,5 is level, so A8.2 counts back
from the last race: Eve's 4 beats David's 5.
Her worst is the 5; the second discard is a 2, and of her two 2s the
      earlier race goes first.
