A medal boat who missed a final-series race before the cut is scored DNC in it: only the companion race is not hers

ILCA 7 2026 — Found while fixing a medal boat recorded on a companion race's sheet · F3

2 qualifying fleets · → Gold/Silver · discards: 1 discard from race 3. · medal race ×1
Fixture 17, except that b2 did not sail F1, and the medal fleet is named
explicitly as y1 and b2, as a jury might direct. F1 was sailed before the
cut, when b2 was an ordinary Gold boat, so missing it is a DNC at Gold's base
of 4. Only F2, the companion race sailed after the cut, is not hers.

  y1  Q 1,1  F1 1           -> discard Q1, net 2 -> halved 1, + M1 1 = 2
  b2  Q 2,1  F1 DNC 4       -> lone final race protected, discard Q 2,
                               net 5 -> halved 3 (0.5 up), + M1 2 = 5
  b1  Q 1,2  F1 2  F2 1+2=3 -> discard F2's 3, net 5 of 8
