Two qualifying flights each ranked on their own: the top two of each go through, 3rd–5th of each sail a repêchage for the last two seats

"Helms ranked 1st and 2nd from each Qualifying Fleet will compete in the
Final Series" (SI 6.3): each flight is its own ranking, and nothing
compares a helm in one flight with a helm in the other. Configured as
`fleetRanking: per-fleet`, with two seats from each flight direct.
The entries are the 2026 event's twelve helms; the draw and every result
are invented (this is the scenario of the scorer's walkthrough for the
weekend). Flight 1: Owens 5, Murphy 6, Chaix 9, Norwood 12, Helme 15,
Lowes 16. Flight 2: Deasy 4, Coulter 6, Donnelly 11, O'Driscoll 12 (an
OCS scored 7, his own flight of six plus one), Croxon 14, Car 17.
Owens, Murphy, Deasy and Coulter go through. 3rd–5th of each flight sail
a repêchage of two races: Chaix and O'Driscoll tie on 3 and Chaix wins
R2; both are promoted. The Final Series carries nothing and decides the
championship: Deasy 10, then Chaix and Murphy on 11 (A8.1: 1,2,3,5 beats
1,2,4,4), Owens 14, then Coulter and O'Driscoll on 19 (A8.1: 2 beats 3).
The boats left in their flights keep their rank in it: Donnelly is third
in Flight 2 though O'Driscoll, fourth, was promoted past her.
