PY — TCF derived from integer Portsmouth Yardstick number
TCF = 1000 ÷ PY; otherwise identical to IRC. A lower PY number means a faster boat type.
Scoring system: PY
Start 14:00:00 (= 50400 s since midnight). Corrected times round half-up
to whole seconds before ranking.
Boat 1 (PY 1000): finish 15:00:00 ET = 3600 s TCF = 1.000 CT = 3600.00 → 3600 → 1st
Boat 2 (PY 900): finish 14:55:00 ET = 3300 s TCF = 1.111 CT = 3666.67 → 3667 → 2nd
Boat 3 (PY 1100): finish 15:10:00 ET = 4200 s TCF = 0.909 CT = 3818.18 → 3818 → 3rd
Boat 2 is the fastest type (PY 900) but finished in the middle;
its higher TCF inflates its corrected time above Boat 1.
