Result codes

Scoring behaviour for result codes: position-replacing codes (DNS, DNF, DSQ, OCS, UFD, BFD, RET, NSC, DNC, DNE) and non-discardable penalties. Point values and discard eligibility are governed by RRS Appendix A5 and Rule 30.

Examples

#Scenario
1 Scratch — 6 boats, 1 race, new position-replacing codes (DNS, NSC, RET, DSQ, UFD)
2 Scratch — 5 boats, 4 races, 1 discard; BFD cannot be discarded even when it is the worst score
3 Scratch — 4 boats, 3 races, 1 discard; DNE cannot be discarded even when it is the worst score
4 ZFP (Z Flag Penalty) adds 20% of DNF score to finish place
5 SCP (Scoring Penalty) — default 20% and explicit override
6 DPI (Discretionary Points Increase) adds stated points, capped at DNF score
7 RDG (Redress Given) — A9(a) average of all races in the series
8 RDG (Redress Given) — A9(b) average of races before the redress race
9 RDG (Redress Given) — A9(c) scorer-stated points
10 RDG (Redress Given) — pool restriction: exclude mode, and finisher RDG
